GUIDELINES FOR BANNER DISPLAYS

Banners can only be displayed at the authorised sites (see enclosed list)

Banners can only display community, charitable or good cause events being held in the Borough.

Only sites local to the event can be used

Maximum of two banners per site

Only one banner can be displayed at a site unless otherwise agreed

A banner can only be displayed for a maximum of 7 days

The banner must removed by 12pm the following day

The placing, removal and maintenance of the banner is the sole responsibility of the applicant, and must be securely tied and regularly checked

Any damage to Spelthorne Borough Council property is the sole responsibility of the applicant

Shepperton Village Hall – Banners must be placed on the railings directly in front of the village hall and NOT on the roadside safety rails.

Unauthorised banners displayed on highways or on council property in the Borough can be removed without notice under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005. Unauthorised banners will not always be stored and may be disposed of and offenders may be prosecuted.
